U-10 Girls Final CutHere is a list of the girls who made the final cut for the U-10 girls tournament team from region 198.
Choosing the ten players plus alternates was an extremely hard decision. There are some very good players that did not make the team. If you didn’t make the team, but would still like to continue to practice with us throughout the summer, we welcome you to our practices and would love to have you there to help you develop your soccer skills and become a better player. Our next practice will be Tuesday, May 7th from 6-7 P.M. at Canterbury Park. There will be a mandatory parent’s meeting at the end of practice, from 7-7:30 P.M. We will discuss uniforms, fund-raisers, collecting money for tournaments, when to have practices, etc. I realize this may conflict with some of your regular AYSO practices, and if it does, we will schedule future practices to be at times that don’t conflict. Parents, please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate for proof of age and a small picture (color or black & white) to be used for the player ID card. WSU Annual Soccer ClinicJust a plug for the 7th Annual Youth Soccer Clinic that will be held Saturday, May 18th from 2-4 p.m. at the the Weber State University Health & Physical Education Complex soccer field (west of the tennis courts). This annual soccer clinic is free to the public for children ages 4-12, but preregistration is required. The clinic is run by the Women's' soccer team with assistance from local high school players and they will lead the kids through fun and exciting soccer skills and drills and team-building activities. I encourage everyone to attend this free event if they are able. The clinic is followed by a drawing for prizes and everyone goes home with a water bottle and snack bag. To register (no later than May 16), call 626-7535 or register online at http://weber.edu/alumni/soccersignup.htm. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
